LDAP Import field is getting truncated - Support and Troubleshooting

LDAP Import field is getting truncated Issue When using LDAP import the affected field does not show all the characters displayed in Active Directory (LDAP browse)

Using the link Refresh from LDAP does not fix it Release All versions

Resolution 1) Go to the sys_user record of a user with a truncated email field

2) Remove the affected field. For example, email field and save the form

3) Clicked on Refresh from LDAP link and you will see the field once again truncated

4) Go to the sys_import_set table list https://instance_name.service-now.com/sys_import_set_list.do

5) Open the most recent record

6) Make sure the sys_user record was the same we modified

7) Open the import set row https://instance_name.service-now.com/u_imp_ldap_xxxxxx.do

8) Press right click of the mouse on the email label and chose "Configure dictionary"

9) Extend the max_length field to a larger number such as 200

10) Follow steps 1,23

11) The email record will be properly updated

12) Please repeat the same steps with your all affected records
