IBM HMC Server pattern does not return serial number - Known Error

IBM HMC Server pattern does not return serial number Description When Discovering devices using IBM HMC server pattern, no serial number is populated for the CI being inserted/updated in the cmdb_ci_hmc_server table.

Steps to Reproduce

[-] Run Discovery on device which uses IBM HMC server pattern [-] Check the created record and no serial number will be populated

Workaround The root cause here is an incorrect target value being used in the pattern, as a workaround:

Go to the 'IBM HMC server' pattern in the pattern designer Under the identification section, open 'Identification for IBM HMC Server' Open step 13 of the pattern 'Insert data to cmdb_ci_hmc_server' Change the final target field name in the form from 'hmc_serial_number' to 'serial_number' Save and publish the pattern and re-run the Discovery, the CI should now have a serial number populated.
