Release Any Cause ServiceNow GRC is designed to automatically retire controls when the relationship between a policy and a control objective is removed. This is expected behavior. The following additional actions also cause controls to retire automatically: 1. When an entity type associated to a control objective is made inactive, controls will be retired. 2. When an entity type association is deleted from a control objective, controls will be retired. 3. When an entity is made inactive, its controls will be retired. 4.
