Steps to Reproduce

Hop to any SSO configured Madrid instance 2. Make sure that 'index' and 'kb_article' pages are public. 3. Create an instance of 'Icon Link' on index page with following details : Type : KB Article KB Article : Any knowledge article Page : kb_article 4. Navigate to the below link in incognito mode: https:// .service-now.com/sp 5. Click on 'Knowledge Article Test' icon link. 6. It takes to the knowledge article page. 7. From here click on the 'Login' in the header and login with SSO 8. Notice that it takes to the Service Portal homepage instead of the knowledge article.

Expected behavior : It is expected to take to the knowledge article page.

Actual behavior : It takes to the Service Portal homepage.

Note : When knowledge article link is directly accessed like below; https:// .service-now.com/sp?id=kb_article&sys_id=1addc9f1474321009db4b5b08b9a7120 click on Login from the header and use SSO to login(external login), takes to the correct knowledge article page.
