Discrepancy between the Case number in the list view and form view when "Transfer case" feature is being usedIssue When a user clicks on a new modified case number it redirected to a new case, so the case number in the list view and form view appear different.CauseThis is expected behavior in the platform. In New York, the "Transfer case" feature has been modified. Doc reference: Reclassify an HR case ==============================You can configure different transfer case scenarios. The base system provides:Reclassify:The HR case number does not change after transferring an HR case from one HR service to another.Links redirect to the new case.Work notes copy from original case to new case.Standard:The HR case number changes when transferring an HR case from one HR service to another. Both HR case numbers appear on the HR case for reference.Links do not redirect from original case to new case.Work notes do not copy from the original case to the new case.============================== User is using Reclassify: feature where "Links redirect to the new case." So even if they click on the old case (where new case number has been generated), it will actually redirect to the new case.ResolutionThis is a documented feature and this redirection is happening as per platform design. As the old case (where number is changed and redirected to the new case) became canceled and will remain inactive state so it should not be considered. If the user also wants to see inactive records, then in reporting or list view add the two columns: Transferred fromTransferred to Alternatively, the customer can use the StandardCaseTransfer feature, then this redirection won't occur. However, a new case number will generate.
