Duplicate CI - Discovery creating duplicate CI after every execution.Issue <!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718F); } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #024F69); } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #032D42); } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718f); } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: ; max-width: ; width: ; height: ; } } Problem Statement - The discovery is activated on one of the instances, defined the IP ranges and discovery schedule is created. Every time whenever the discovery schedule runs, it creates duplicate CI's. This article will demonstrate the investigations and probable use cases, hence in the future, if a similar error occurs then this can be one of the causes and worth trying to fix. This inclusion rule only considers those CI which has Status = Deployed or Status = In Stock.In the impacted scenario, the Status value of CI's records is Null. Thus every time, IRE creates new records instead of updating the current one. Inclusion Rule : Resolution<!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718F); } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #024F69); } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #032D42); } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718f); } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: ; max-width: ; width: ; height: ; } } As the CI's are not getting considered for the IRE, below 2 approaches can be considered for resolving such use cases. Improving the Inclusion rule or broadening the scope of the filter to consider more CI's for the Inclusion.Setting the appropriate values at record level so that such records will be considered by IR Engine for identification. Note that, it is always recommended to appropriately using the inclusion rules. Please refer Identification Inclusion Rule For more details.
