Do not configure these role settings in other parts of the form or duplicate them elsewhere; they must be set exclusively within the Permission section of the variable form to ensure correct behavior. If they are in multiple places in the form, then the slush bucket that opens on after clicking any of the corresponding pencil icons will not be editable, meaning the picker that appears will be disabled for making changes through that interface.
