External users unable to download portal reports via custom widgetIssue In the Service Portal, a custom widget displays reports for external users. Those external users cannot download the report in formats such as Excel or PDF. This occurs because the base system default behaviour prevents external users from accessing processors, and the **PollProcessor** does not have an ACL defined to override that default. Many processors have ACLs defined specifically on them to change this default behaviour. The PollProcessor does not have such an ACL, so `snc_external` users cannot execute it and are blocked from downloading reports. Resolution To allow external users to download reports via the PollProcessor, create a new ACL record. An administrator role is required to create ACL records. 1. Navigate to System Security > Access Control (ACL). Select New to create a new ACL record. Set the following fields: - Type: `processor` - Operation: `execute` - Name: `PollProcessor` In the Requires Role related list, add both `snc_internal` and `snc_external`. 5. Save the record.
