Create a user who have a role "arroval_user"sys_user.list > New > Roles TAB > New > add approval_user2. Create Catalog Item (sc_cat_item.list > New)3. Type Name (any) and Save it once.4. Create Variable on the Caalog Item (open the same Catalog Item > Variable TAB > clic New)5. On Variable Window, Question TAB type Question/name (any)Question test01Name test016. On Variable Window, Type Specification TAB, configure as below.Reference (sys_user) (this is just a expmale for easy to understand)7. Save the Variable and back to Catalog Item9. Once create Variable, goto Process Engine TAB > click Workflow magnifying glass icon. 10. Workflow window pop up, and click New then Workflow type Name and click "Submit" then Workflow Editor open.11. On Workflow Editor > Core TAB > select approval - User and grag to the editor window.12. On the window of New Activity : Approval - User, type Name and add the user you create step 1, under Approvers field. then click "Submit".13. Make sure put the new Work Flow between Begin/End and assocaite each other.14. click Publish (publish the workflow)15. Back the Catalog Item you create on Step 216. Click "Try it". On the catalog item window, you can see single field. then specify an user who is NOT active.17. then click "Order Now".18. Get into the REQxxxx which created.19. On Approvaers TAB, click and open Requested > click Approve button.20. Back to REQxxxxx then click "Arroved" record on Approver TAB.21. On Approval window, you can see the Catalog Item name under the Description. Click the blue triangle arrow.22. then You can see the User name you select on the window just after you click "Try it".23. Impersonate to the approval user you create step 1.24. then go to Service Portal25. Click Approvals on header.26. Click Options on the Request Item window.27. You can see the user display as sys_id.Expected behavior : Click Options, the variable should display "User name".Actual behavior : Click Options, the varialble display Sys_id if the user is NOT active.WorkaroundThis issue is under review.
