"Policy Exception" record producer catalog item fails to be submitted from Service Catalog - Known Error

"Policy Exception" record producer catalog item fails to be submitted from Service Catalog Description The "Policy Exception" record producer is part of the plugin GRC Policy and Compliance Management [com.sn_compliance]. The catalog item fails to be submitted through the record producer, causing JavaScript exceptions from client scripts belonging to the same plugin:

"Uncaught ReferenceError: g_scratchpad is not defined". "Uncaught ReferenceError: func is not defined".

Steps to Reproduce

1. Install the plugin GRC: Policy and Compliance Management [com.sn_compliance].

2. Add a catalog item from a record producer (i.e. "Policy Exception" /nav_to.do?uri=sc_cat_item_producer.do?sys_id=84c6c452e7600300dd926217c2f6a980 ).

3. Go to the catalog link /nav_to.do?uri=%2Fcom.glideapp.servicecatalog_cat_item_view.do%3Fv%3D1%26sysparm_id%3D84c6c452e7600300dd926217c2f6a980 and fill in mandatory fields.

4. Try to submit the catalog item. Notice nothing happens and javascript errors.

Workaround This is expected behavior, the item should be submitted from the Service Portal ( /sp?id=sc_cat_item&sys_id=84c6c452e7600300dd926217c2f6a980&sysparm_category=847f8d38874033003058d1a936cb0bc8 ):

1 - Open the portal homepage /sp 2 - Click "Catalog" 3 - Click "Browser by categories" 4 - Click "Governance Risk and Compliance" 5 - Click "Policy Exception". 6 - Fill in the mandatory fields and Submit.

If required to submit from a record producer, deactivate the Client Script: /nav_to.do?uri=catalog_script_client.do?sys_id=3a33330fe7050300dd926217c2f6a9de
