Postfix or a similar SMTP server may have been installed on the same server as the application servers for sending (or receiving with POP3) email.

Due to PRB1251337, these installations will no longer be able to use "localhost" when they upgrade to London Patch 4 HF 2 and Patch 5 or higher.

The connection test will produce the following error: " Email sender connection invalid.: Mail server localhost is invalid. Localhost or loopback address is not allowed. "

The email accounts module will show " Host name localhost is not allowed " when updating the SMTP account.

This will force all nodes to route their traffic through that single node.

OR

Create glide.email.allow_localhost_account in sys_properties, set it to TRUE. Create glide.installation.production, set it to FALSE. Please note hat glide.installation.production is checked in several places such as cloning and zbooting as well as in some update scripts. It is strongly recommended that you keep glide.installation.production = false on a production instance. It may be referenced and checked in the future for any new/additional features.
