This has two distinct causes: Duplicate relationship records — the dependent CI has two or more identical relationships (for example, two Runs on::Runs rows in cmdb_rel_ci) with the same host CI.Duplicate relationship-type records — for an included CI, such as a Tomcat WAR file, the cmdb_rel_type table contains more than one record named Contains::Contained by. The base system contains exactly one record for each relationship type, so a second record is an anomaly. Identify which cause applies, fix that branch, then rerun discovery. Remove duplicate relationship records In the navigation filter, enter cmdb_rel_ci.list and press Enter.Filter the list on Parent and Child using the two sys_id values from the error message. If more than one row has the same Type, the extras are the duplicates. Delete all but one. Before you delete, identify what created the duplicate. If a pattern customization or an integration writes relationships outside the identification engine, discovery recreates the duplicate on the next run. Check for duplicate relationship-type records (included CIs) In the navigation filter, enter cmdb_rel_type.list and press Enter.Filter the list on Name = Contains::Contained by.If more than one record returns, a duplicate type definition exists. Don't delete it immediately: existing cmdb_rel_ci rows may reference the duplicate. Repoint those rows to the original type record first, then delete the duplicate. Verify the fix Rerun discovery or the Service Mapping recomputation for the affected CI.Confirm the identification error no longer appears in the discovery log or the service map.
