Why am I getting message as 'View name 'catalogs_default' already exists' when adding content to Service Catalog Home pageIssue When trying to add new category on the service catalog homepage (catalog_home.do) we can observe the annotation 'View name 'catalogs_default' already exists'. This hinders the addition of the category on the form.CauseThis issue happens only in a domain separated instance. Also, the issue can be observed till the TOP domain. It does not happen when you set the session domain (via domain picker) to global. Setting up the Catalogs homepage while using the "global" domain still honors domain separation for catalogs. However this is a temporary solution. The error message looks like below when you follow the steps as mentioned. Login to your OOB (out of box) instance and select domain as TOPGo to service catalog homepage and try to add new category by clicking on + icon at the right corner.Annotation will be displayed at the top of the form. ResolutionThe issue only occurs on homepages and not within dashboards. Dashboards from Istanbul onwards are the replacement for homepages and should be instead. The recommendation is to upgrade to or above Istanbul release in order to make use of dashboards and their extensive benefits over homepages.Related LinksHere are few product documentation links on setting up dashboards.
