Dot walking fields shows full column label when used in related lists/table lists. Issue When a dot walked field is present in a list/related list, the column label shows the entire dot walked column labels.

Resolution If an incident table list contains the caller's email address, it generally shows the column name as Caller Email. Instead, if the users would want to see a short label such as 'Email' on the incident list, enabling a system property would resolve this issue.

Navigate to sys_properties.list and open the system property 'glide.short.labels' . Set this property to 'True' and save the form. This system property shortens the dot walked column labels and displays the short label.
