Asset 'Assigned To' was cleared due to asset state changing - Support and Troubleshooting

Asset 'Assigned To' was cleared due to asset state changing Issue  There is a notofication message "Asset 'Assigned To' was cleared due to asset state changing", when you do a bulk update on cmdb_ci records

Cause The message you are seeing is from an out of the box business rule "Clear Assigned To on update" https:// >.service-now.com/nav_to.do?uri=sys_script.do?sys_id=594e2e93ef02200035c61ab995c0fb59

This business rule is triggered whenever there is an update on the asset record and if the following condition satisfies: (!current.assigned_to.nil()) && ((current.install_status == 2) || (current.install_status == 6) || (current.install_status == 9))

Current assigned to field is not empty

AND

current install status is "on order" OR Current install status is "In stock" OR Current install status is "In transit"

If either of the above three conditions satisfies, the assigned_to field is set to empty.
