Plugin remains inactive after installing asset management plugin post conversion and Asset form is broken with no Context menu Description On conversion from Express to Enterprise, customer activated Asset Management/Software Asset Management (SAM)/Hardware Asset Management (HAM) plugins, but some plugin remains deactivated causing issues on forms and some features.

Some of the below mentioned forms might also be broken:

Contracts Contracts (ast_contract) Asset and child tables Asset (alm_asset) Consumable (alm_consumable) Software Entitlement (alm_license) Hardware (alm_hardware) Facility (alm_facility) Product Model and child tables Product Model (cmdb_model) Application Model (cmdb_application_product_model) Consumable Model (cmdb_consumable_product_model) Hardware Model (cmdb_hardware_product_model) Software Model (cmdb_software_product_model) In addition to the issues related to the forms, some other issues that might come up due to the missing plugins are:

Not able to create Hardware assets from the related list on the Stockroom record page Reconciliation job fails or no publishers available on the "Run Reconciliation" UI Page. NullPointerException in the logs when one of the above mentioned form view is not working

Steps to Reproduce

Convert from Express to Enterprise Activate "Asset Management" plugin after conversion Type, alm_hardware.list in filter navigaton Open any record You will observe nothing works on form and there is no context menu available for the form fields and header Workaround After the conversion, the administrator can navigate to System Definition > Plugins and review the list of plugins that are available and active. The plugins listed below are not activated on an Express to Enterprise platform conversion.

Model Management (com.snc.model) Asset Management (com.snc.asset_management) Contract Management (com.snc.contract_management) Product catalog (com.snc.product_catalog) It is recommended to check and activate these plugins in the order as given above if working with other asset management plugins of Software Asset Management (SAM) or Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
