Performance Analytics: dashboard does not load or widgets show spinner for non-admin users in scoped applicationIssue <!-- /*NS Branding Styles*/ --> .ns-kb-css-body-editor-container { p { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } span { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, #000000); } h2 { font-size: 24pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h3 { font-size: 18pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } h4 { font-size: 14pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--text-primary, black); } a { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718F); } a:hover { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #024F69); } a:target { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #032D42); } a:visited { font-size: 12pt; color: var(--now-color--link-primary, #00718f); } ul { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } li { font-size: 12pt; font-family: Lato; } img { display: ; max-width: ; width: ; height: ; } } When a dashboard is created in a non-global scope and shared with ITIL users or other non-admin users, the users cannot access it or the widgets do not load. The user may see one of the following messages: "Dashboard hasn't been shared with user""The xxx dashboard is restricted to following roles: . You need to have one of the specified roles to see this dashboard." (No role is specified in the dashboard properties, which is why the message displays "roles: .") A variation of this issue is that the dashboard loads but the widgets in the tabs show a spinner indefinitely. No errors appear in the browser console. Steps to reproduce Create a dashboard in a non-global scope — for example, the Security Incident scope or the Human Resources: Performance Analytics scope.Share the dashboard with a user who has a non-admin role.Impersonate that user and attempt to access the shared dashboard. Result: One of the error messages above is displayed, or the widgets show a spinner and the dashboard never loads. To allow the scope to access pa_dashboards records, the scoped application must inherit the ACLs already defined on the pa_dashboards table outside the scoped application. Log in to the instance as the admin of the scoped application.Set the system property glide.security.scoped_administration.honor_global_acl to true. In many cases this property is already set to true, so no update is necessary.Switch the scope to the scope where the dashboard was created. The user must be the application administrator for that scope.Navigate to the list view for the sys_scoped_admin_acl_inheritance table using the following URL pattern:https://instance_name.service-now.com/sys_scoped_admin_acl_inheritance_list.doCreate a new record if one does not already exist, and select the table name pa_dashboards. Submit the record.Create a new record for each of the following tables: Portal Page (sys_portal_page) Tabs (pa_tabs) Dashboard Permissions (pa_dashboards_permissions) If reports have the same issue, after step 4 create a new record for each of the following tables: Reports (sys_report) Report Users and Groups (sys_report_users_groups) If non-responsive dashboards are enabled on the instance (see Differences between responsive and non-responsive dashboards), add the Dashboard Tab (pa_m2m_dashboard_tabs) table in addition to those listed above. Note: The steps above apply to dashboard loading issues. If individual widgets on the dashboard are in a non-global scope and errors occur while loading the widgets, additional settings may be needed. See Now Support for further assistance.
