This displays a Post button, Toggle button, and Stream Input Decorator for Work Notes.

When Activities(filtered) is removed from the form layout, Work Notes and Additional Comments render in legacy mode, and the Post button, Toggle button, and Stream Input Decorator do not appear.

1. Log in as an administrator.

2. Navigate to All > Incident > All Incidents.

3. Select one record.

4. Select the context menu button.

5. Select Configure > Form Layout.

6. Select the form section Notes.

7. Add Activities (filtered) from the left list collector.

Simply adding individual journal input fields such as Additional Comments or Work Notes to the form layout is not sufficient on its own. After adding Activities (filtered), open its gear/filter icon, select Configure available fields, and move the relevant journal fields to the selected fields column, then save. Without this step, the Additional Comments field and Post button may not be visible even after the formatter is added via form layout
