Steps to reproduce Go to any list view that contains an HTML field. Right-click the column headers. Select Export > Excel (.xlsx) . Open the downloaded Excel file and observe that HTML tags appear in the content.

The following VBA macro converts a selected column from HTML to plain text.

Open the exported Excel file. Select the column that contains HTML tags. Open the Visual Basic Editor (press Alt+F11). Select Insert > Module and paste the following code:

Close the Visual Basic Editor. Select the cells that contain HTML tags in the spreadsheet. Run the macro: select Developer > Macros , select StripTags , and select Run .
