Banner image does not persist when using the basic configuration UI16 module to set the image Description Using the basic configuration UI16 module to set the banner image changes the image as soon as it is uploaded. After refreshing the navpage however, the change appears to be lost even though the data is set properly.

Steps to Reproduce

Navigate to System Properties > Basic Configuration UI16 . In Banner image for UI16 , click the + icon to upload a new banner image for UI16. The banner icon changes almost immediately. In the browser address bar, change your URL to https://instancename.service-now.com/navpage.do and press return or enter on your keyboard. Note that the banner image returns to the default. If you have the new image, run the URL again. Note that the image eventually changes back. Navigate to System Properties > Basic Configuration UI16 . With no further input, the icon changes to the new icon.

Workaround After carefully considering the severity and frequency of the issue, and the cost and risk of attempting a fix, it has been decided to not address this issue in any current or near future releases. We do not make these decisions lightly, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

A workaround solution can be applied:

1 - Navigate to System Properties > My Company . 2 - Right-click in the header bar and select Configure > Form Layout . 3 - In the Available list, move UI16 Banner Image to the Selected column. 4 - Ensure that you select UI16 Banner Image and not Banner image . 5 - Click Save . 6 - In the Banner image field, specify the image file to use for the banner . 7 - Save the record.
