Steps to Reproduce In a single browser window in Internet Explorer 8, navigate to Workflow > Workflow Editor .

Open any existing workflow canvas or create a new one.

Note that the last tab does not display an X to close the tab.

Workaround Use one of the following workarounds:

Upgrade to Internet Explorer 9 or later. Open any additional workflow tab. The previous tab will then display the X.
