Internet Explorer 11 process leaks memory in Windows 7 (not the JS Heap) Description Internet Explorer 11 process is leaking memory. This issue affects all ServiceNow releases and all websites using iFrames.

Steps to Reproduce

Open a ServiceNow instance in Windows IE11. Open the Task Manager . Monitor resource usage. Click various modules and gauges (for example, System Diagnostics , Service Catalog , Knowledge ), always waiting for pages to finish loading. Repeat steps 2 and 3. Note that memory usage climbs. Workaround For instances not using the List v3 plugin , a partial fix was deployed in Geneva Patch 10, Helsinki Patch 6, and Istanbul for KB0598416: Using AMB Client on the parent frame from the contained frame causes a memory leak in IE11 .

For instances using List v3 , the best option is to upgrade to Istanbul where performance and memory leak fixes have been deployed.
