How to determine the delivery time for Service Catalog Requested ItemsIssue Delivery times for service catalog requested items are calculated by the workflow or execution plan that the item is set to use.ResolutionDelivery Times In Workflows Within workflows, delivery times are calculated based on both the Expected Time and Schedule values for that workflow, defined within the Schedule information for that workflow. By default, the workflow Expected time is used as the Delivery Time on the requested item. Workflows can not calculate the end time, as not all of the activities within the workflow have defined times. For example, the default iPhone 5 item uses the Procurement Process Flow - Mobile workflow, which has Expected time set to 2 days: So when a user requests this item, the Delivery time is set to 2 days: When both Expected time and Schedule values are filled in for the workflow, the delivery time is calculated based on the combination of both, with each day for Expected time counted as a 24 hour period. For example, if you define an Expected time as 2 days (48) hours, and also define a schedule setting a work day as 8 hours, the calculated Delivery time is 48/8 = 6 Days. If your schedule also excludes weekends, this adds a further 2 days, making the total Delivery time as 8 Days. Delivery Times In Execution Plans The total delivery time for items using execution plans is calculated based on the individual delivery times for each execution plan task used in that execution plan.
